We've just returned from spending the week visiting my dear friends Jenny and Tim. They have a small homestead known as "Two Trees Farm," where they keep a cow, chickens, sheep, and the occasional pigs or calf, and raise their four gorgeous kids.
It was a great vacation - a great March Break from school for Gui, and a good chance to spend time with our friends and collect some new experiences to boot. Tim and Jenny are Aetheline's godparents, which from their POV makes us family now. Since Tim has been like an extra brother to me since college, and Jen is one of my very best friends, it is a real blessing to finally live close enough to spend some real time together and let our children get to know each other.
The visit was just about the perfect length, we are all happy to sleep in our own beds tonight and have a quiet weekend to get back into the swing of things before Gui goes back to school on Monday.
